Anyang Jeonggwanjang Red Booth Basketball Team (Director Lee Jong-rim) announced on the 13th that it has renewed its contract with Park Ji-hoon, who has become a free agent (FA), with a three-year contract period and 550 million won in compensation for the first year (including 110 million incentives).
Jeonggwanjang basketball team started last season second in the first round, but had a difficult season due to injuries and replacements of main players and foreign players. Despite such difficulties, Park Ji-hoon played an average of 29 minutes in 53 games, scoring 12.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 4.4 assists, and also had the best season since his professional debut (second place in the guard position).
In particular, he was selected for the KBL Six Men’s Award and the first national team in 2023 after fostering and growing in the Jeonggwanjang, and was recognized for his value by playing a key role in leading the team to third place in eight games in the 23-24 EASL (East Asian Super League).
Park Ji-hoon said, “I usually thought of coach Yang Hee-jong as a role model, and this decision was influenced the most by fans’ love,” adding, “I will strengthen my breathing with the existing players and try to recreate Anyang’s glory with Byun Joon-hyung and Han Seung-hee, who will soon join after discharge in November.”
