Konami Gaming, a U.S.-based casino game maker, said it has appointed Eric Schultz (pictured) as vice president of studio operations. “We will lead the development of overall games across software development, art design, sound design, mathematical design and project management,” he said in a press release Thursday.
Mr. Schultz will be “responsible for the leadership and direction of Konami’s overall game development operations, including developing new products, improving future products, and supporting existing product lifecycle,” the company added.
The data quoted Steve Sutherland, president and chief executive of Konami Gaming, as saying: “Eric Schultz effectively manages multidisciplinary teams to provide a proven ability to achieve strong product results on the ground for casino customers and their players.”
He added, “Our team is committed to expansion and growth in the global market, and we look forward to continuing momentum with Eric’s leadership and collaborative efforts across Konami’s global gaming studios.”
The statement explains that Schultz has more than 20 years of experience in game development. He joined konami as a software engineer in 2004, went through several promotions, and became senior director of game software engineering in 2014.
Mr. Schultz most recently served as vice president of gaming technology at Everi Holdings Inc., which provides gaming content and products to the land-based and online casino sectors.
