First step to change, SSG in desperate need of generation change, Kagoshima prospect camp until 24th
SSG Landers is in need of a generational change. The first step to change is a finalization camp.
SSG will hold a prospect camp at a sports complex located in Satsumasendai City, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan, for 24 days from the 1st to the 24th.
The camp, which will be held overseas for the first time in four years since 2019, aims to develop promising players through intense technical training, 먹튀검증 and will be led by Futures Head Coach Lee Dae-soo, with a total of 35 players, including nine coaching staff and 26 players.
The SSG players will depart at 11:05 a.m. on the 1st and return at 2 p.m. on the 24th.
Rookie pitchers Lee Roon and Song Young-jin, who gained valuable experience in the first team this year, will also participate in the final camp. Seo Sang-jun, the ‘155-kilometer fireballer’, is also included in the roster. In addition, Ryu Hyun-gon, Baek Seung-gun, Shin Heon-min, Lee Kun-wook, Lee Ki-soon, Jeong Sung-gon, and Heo Min-hyuk are on the roster. All of them have a good chance of playing in the first team next year.
Cho Hyung-woo, who should be SSG’s starting catcher, is also going to Kagoshima. There are three catchers, including Cho Hyung-woo, Kim Gun-gun, and Jeon Jeon-won.
Ahn Sang-hyun, Choi Jun-woo, Kim Chan-hyung, Ko Myung-joon, Kang Jin-sung, Kim Min-joon, and Kim Sung-min (all infielders), who will be the centerpiece of the generation change, are headed to Kagoshima.
The outfielders included Kim Jung-min, Kim Chang-pyeong, Park Se-jik, Chae Hyun-woo, Choi Sang-min, and Choi Yubin.
Meanwhile, the main and rookie players will be divided between Incheon SSG Landers Field and SSG Futures Field for final training.
