Lotte Tourism Development’s annual casino sales, which operates Jeju Dream Tower Resort (pictured), which is located in Jeju, rose 248.7 percent year-on-year to 152.33 billion won ($116.1 million) from 43.68 billion won in 2022. The property has a foreigner-only casino.
Annual table game sales came to 138.01 billion won, up 263.7 percent on-year, according to data submitted to the Korea Exchange on Tuesday.
Machine game sales in 2023 were 14.29 billion won, up 149.3% year-over-year.
The casino sales figures cited are net amounts of fees paid to agents in relation to the total gaming revenue generated by the property, which is different from the industry sales figures compiled by the Korea Casino Association.
Lotte Tour’s 2023 casino table drop, the amount customers paid to purchase chips for table games, was 1.27 trillion won, up 154.2% year-on-year.
Casino sales actually fell 20.6% month-on-month in December to just 14.23 billion won. However, December sales were still up 582.5% year-on-year.
December’s table drop was 126.3 billion won, up 8.0% in November and 96.0% in December 2022.
