An executive who served as president and CEO of Paradise Sega Sammy Co., Ltd., a venture company that operates Paradise City Casino Resort (pictured) in Incheon, has been appointed as co-CEO of Paradise Co., Ltd., a casino operator exclusively for foreigners in Korea.

According to the data submitted to the Korea Exchange, the appointment of Choi Jong-hwan, co-CEO of Paradise, was mentioned. Accordingly, the co-CEO of Paradise will focus on management and finance.
Choi Sung-wook, a fellow co-CEO of Paradise, is dealing with overseas issues, according to a statement Friday.
Paradise Segasammi is a venture company shared by Paradise and Japan’s Segasammi Holdings.
This is not the first time that Paradise Co is operating with a co-CEO.
In other news filed Friday, Paradise Corp. said it approved the delisting of the nation’s KOSDAQ stock index and its transfer to the main bourse, the KOSPI, at a shareholders’ meeting on Friday.
Earlier this month, a Paradise spokesperson told GGRAsia that the move was aimed at “maximizing shareholder value by expanding our investor base, including institutional and foreign investors.”
In addition, the Company’s general shareholders’ meeting approved the final dividend of KRW 100 (US$0.075) for 2023 as recommended on February 15, which is a dividend ratio of 0.7% based on the stock price.
The company directly operates three casino locations: Walkerhill in Seoul, the capital of Korea; Paradise Jeju on Jeju Island; and properties in the port city of Busan. The company is making a joint venture with Sega Sammy Holdings Inc. of Japan for the Paradise City Resort in Incheon, just outside Seoul.
